QOTD Series: Day 1 Understanding Your Self-Worth

I'm Lacey Jones with Elevate the Individual. And this is day one of our new Question of the Day series. We may not always know where to start when it comes to self improvement. That's where the Power of Questioning comes in. By asking ourselves the right questions, we can gain clarity and direction on what we truly want and need in our lives. Questions help us identify our values, our priorities and our goals. They push us to challenge our limiting beliefs and assumptions and help us see situations from different and new perspectives. The right questions can also help us make better decisions as we take meaningful action towards our goals.

So if you're ready to take control of your life and unlock your full potential, join us as we explore the Power of questioning in this new series. Get ready to ask yourself some thought provoking questions and discover the answers that will lead you towards a happier, more fulfilling life. I am so excited for this new series. I have been thinking on it and pondering on it and people have made comments to me about the power of questioning that's within the Raising Confident Mothers magazine.

And so I thought, why not make this series where just a question each day to kind of ponder on? And as we dig into it, I first want to start with our self worth and make sure that we hone in on understanding that better and getting kind of a glimpse or an idea of where you are in your thoughts about your self worth and if you understand your self worth and kind of that baseline as we move forward.

So, according to the American Psychological Association, self worth is defined as an individual's evaluation of him or herself as a valuable, capable human being deserving of respect and consideration. So this is where I want you to take a little minute, get out your notepad or mental notepad, and I would ask you how would you rate your self worth at this time? With one little gold star as I really don't believe that I have value. Five gold stars as I'm learning to kind of better understand my value, kind of moving in that direction. And ten gold stars being I know my value without a shadow of a doubt, I know and I understand it. So I want you to take a minute to ponder on that kind of rate yourself.

Now, here's the question why did you rate yourself worth the way that you did? And then another question. We might get more than one question today, but that's okay, it's day one. How would you like to develop and improve your self worth? Maybe scribble some notes on that. Then here's my last question. What will be different about your life when you improve your self worth? Okay, write your notes and ponder on it with these questions.

You may want to talk to someone about them. We are starting this confident mom Circle. This is where we're building a community of moms and women who want to improve their lives, their family's lives, the community that they live in, and with that, doing the work to kind of understand their individual light. So that's why we're starting here with Self Worth. I want you to know who you are. I want you to know that you're valuable. I want you to know your gifts and your talents and your light and come to better understand that so you can share it with yourself, your family, your community with the Confident Mom Circle, that's where we get together. Once a month, we bring questions and we talk about the latest issue of Raising Confident Mothers. So please join us.

We have one session the evening of October 26 and one session the morning of October 27. You can find all that information on the website. You can go to raisingconfidentmothers.com and then click on the Circle to get more information there to sign up. With that, you get access to the magazine. I also have popped in access to previous issues of the magazine. And then you have like the thought library and just resources we'll be building within that community.

And you also have free access to our meetings. So take a look. Holler at me if you have questions through Instagram is usually the best place to message me. You can find me raising confident mothers there. My goal is to post a new question every day. And then as we interrupt that scheduling with some of our fun new interviews that are coming out, we'll pop those in. So it'll be kind of a mixed bag. Lots of resources and looking forward to serving.
