QOTD Series: Day 5 The Journey of Your Faith
I'm Lacey Jones with Elevate the Individual. And this is day five of our Question of the Day series, the Journey of Your Faith. Happy Sunday, friends. I seriously hope the sun is shining where you are. And if it's not, I really hope that you can create peace within the cloudiness of your day, no matter the weather. I hope you find rest within your circumstances. Sometimes when we really want something, we don't realize how much effort we need to put into creating it. Not all things just happen. Some things have to be cultivated. They have to be tended to and even sought after. Faith is no exception to this. And as a woman of faith, I believe that each of us will need to create the path that enables our own unique journey of faith. At times, the path will be clear and obvious, and at other times, we will need to stop and get our bearings before taking the next step. Occasionally, we may choose to step away from the path, and at other times, we may choose to cling desperately to our foundation as we search for that next step. What may seem simple for one person may not be for another. The journey of our faith is not something that we can just copy and paste from someone else's journey. We must put in the work and seek if we wish to find. So I encourage you to take some time today to ponder on what faith means to you and what steps you are taking to cultivate it. So let's start the questions here. What does faith mean to you? Is it something that you want to have or cultivate? If so, why? If not, why not? If you were to compare the development of your faith to the development of your mind and your body, what stage would you be in? Is your faith young and reliant on others? Are you starting to branch out and discover your faith? Are you testing your faith in the things you once held to be true? Are you coming to know and understand what faith looks like in your life? Do you welcome others where they are in their faith journeys? Or do you feel threatened by the things they say and do? Are you at peace with your faith? I need you to understand that I am not shy about coaching people through questions of faith. It is actually something that I feel so honored to do, as I feel it's so close to the heart, and it brings a certain level of vulnerability that can be difficult to navigate. But I'm not scared of it. So if you have questions about your faith and you don't have anyone to turn to who feels safe, please reach out. I'm happy to facilitate that for you. My faith is personal and unique to me, and it doesn't have to be the same faith as what you're looking for. I'm here when you need me. Take care, friends.
