QOTD Series: Day 7 How do you view obstacles?
I'm Lacey Jones with Elevate the Individual. And this is day seven of our Question of the Day series. I love how each day of the series brings more and more questions. What was meant to be one question a day has sort of evolved into questions of the day, and that is AOK. Questions are a powerful learning tool, and thinking is how we discover the path forward. So as we travel that path, we are going to run into roadblocks and uphill battles and obstacles. All of that can stop you dead in your tracks and prevent you from moving forward. But it doesn't have to. And it's actually not the roadblocks or the uphill battles and obstacles that stop you in your tracks. It's your thoughts about those obstacles that stop you from progressing. So today, I want you to spend some time thinking about the challenges in your life and why they seem to stall your progress. And I actually don't want you to think about the details of your challenges, but rather the sheer idea that they exist in your life. Should you really have obstacles in your life? Why or why not? What is the value of not having obstacles and challenges? Is there value in having a clear path to your accomplishments and goals? Why do you feel that way? Okay, now let's swing things in the complete opposite direction and look at the value of having obstacles and challenges in your life. What is the value of having those challenges? What benefit do you experience from working through roadblocks and uphill battles? And what ways did you have to grow to overcome those challenges? Can you see the value in that? Why do you think you view challenges and obstacles and walking through that mud the way that you do? Would you like to change that perspective, or are you cool with it and what that narrative creates for you? All right, that's probably enough questions for today. But before I go, I want to offer my view on obstacles and challenges. Life changes when you stop resisting the challenges and start looking at them as opportunities. How is it possible that these are probably problems you want to solve? How you view the challenge will make all the difference in your journey. Ponder. Ponder on that and join me in the Confident Mom Circle on Thursday evening or Friday morning and let's talk about it. Take care, friends. I'll see you soon.
